The Story of Allen Auto & RV Group

Allen Auto & RV Group was not built on volume.
  It was built on conviction — and calling.

Long before there were multiple locations, RV brands, or large facilities along M-55, there was a young man in Buckley learning the business from the ground up.

Humble Beginnings in Buckley

Chad W. Allen grew up in Buckley, Michigan, at his parents’ small used car dealership and repair facility. He didn’t just observe the business — he lived it. He saw firsthand what it meant to serve customers honestly, fix vehicles properly, and build relationships that lasted for decades.

But even then, his vision was larger than selling quality vehicles.

His passion extended beyond inventory and margins. It centered on leadership, impact, and transformation — bringing positive change to people’s lives, pointing others toward Jesus Christ, and strengthening the communities that support local businesses.

That foundation would shape everything that followed.

The First Step: McBain Auto Service

The first major step forward came with the purchase of the longstanding McBain Auto Service. That acquisition was more than a business move — it was a commitment to preserving a trusted local institution while elevating standards and building something important, we just didn’t know yet..

Under new leadership, the facility eventually became Allen’s Auto Care – McBain, grounded in:

  • Professional service standards
     
     

  • Customer-first communication
     
     

  • Long-term trust over short-term profit
     
     

This location became the operational backbone of the group and the model for everything we do today: Quality Service and Amazing Rust Free & Serviced Vehicle Inventory — proof that disciplined systems and strong leadership create sustainable growth.

Expansion Into Cadillac

After establishing stability in McBain, expansion followed.

A second service location was opened in Cadillac, creating Allen’s Auto Care – Cadillac, bringing the same transparent, high-standard service model to a larger market.

Then came the move into dealership operations in Cadillac at a third location downtown — applying the same philosophy to vehicle sales:

  • Southern rust-free inventory sourcing
     
     

  • Thorough reconditioning standards
     
     

  • A streamlined, transparent buying process
     
     

  • No unnecessary management layers or pressure tactics
     
     

The goal was clear: elevate the car-buying experience in Northern Michigan.

The M-55 Location – 2024

In 2024, the group made a major leap forward with the purchase of the large M-55 location in Cadillac. This move signified scale — but controlled scale.

It wasn’t growth for ego.
  It was growth supported by infrastructure, service capability, and leadership depth.

The M-55 facility solidified Allen Auto & RV Group as a regional presence, capable of handling higher volume without compromising standards.

Adding Jensen’s RV Center – 2025

In 2025, Jensen’s RV Center joined the group.

This addition was a natural evolution. Customers were not just buying transportation — they were investing in experiences, travel, and time with family.

Jensen’s RV Center aligned perfectly with the group’s philosophy:

The RV division strengthened the mission: helping families create memories while being backed by a dealership that answers the phone long after the sale.
